TESTIMONIALS
"I've never run 6 miles in my life!  I was so
amazed when I finally did it; AND THAT'S
NOT ALL.  Heather has helped me realize
how possible my goals really are and I'm
confident that, with some hard work, she'll
help me get to that 26.2 mile finish line!"

"I thought I was months and new knees away
from ever achieving my goal of being an athlete
again.  Now, within weeks, my life-long dream
of being a tri-athlete actually seems attainable"

Some people wonder how she runs the marathon; others wonder why.  Well, she just perseveres and keeps putting one step in front of the other, forgetting about the thousands of steps still ahead of her.  A smiling woman yells, “Go girl!” and makes her smile back.  Cheerleaders yelling out “Go Sasha,” lighten her steps.  The music too quickens her pace.  As for the reason why she runs the LA Marathon; well, the short answer is she runs for the Wild Life Way Station and Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.  The long answer begins with the first time she watched the elite marathoners on TV run a five-minute pace the entire twenty-six plus miles.  This year, after a grueling run in the ninety-degree heat, she was walking to the Red Line Metrolink Station, an old man gave her the biggest smile, when he saw her wearing her medal, tapped her on the shoulder, and kept on walking.  As long as she can, she will keep on running the LA Marathon.  Just don’t ask her why.
